ESCUELA ESPAÑOLA NIÑO JESUS s.XVIII

 


Talla de Niño Jesús, escuela española del siglo XVIII.
Tallado en madera de cedro en bulto redondo sobre peana.
Rostro y fisionomía infantil, donde el escultor supo captar perfectamente la anatomía natural.
Representado como Salvador del Mundo, con dedos extendidos de la mano derecho alzados hacía el cielo y la mano izquierda hacia la tierra, como muestra de su doble naturaleza, divina y humana.
Situado sobre un cojín en color rojizo y decorado con hojas de acanto en color verde. Talla policromada en muy buen estado de conservación, aunque presenta alguna pequeña grieta o craquelado en la policromía y algún pequeño roce. El dedo gordo del pie derecho debió romperse y esta pegado. Rostro dulce con ojos de cristal o pasta coloreada en color azul. Pelo trabajado, con grandes ondas y rizos.
